It provides a structured exercise course and presents the fundamental understanding of this condition in an easily comprehensible manner, while also offering targeted measures.
Measures to overcome fear and reduce maladaptive behavior. The therapist’s manual consists of a guide for the therapist and a self-help manual for the patient. At the start of treatment, the counselor and the patient agree on how the patient should work with the instructions. At certain intervals, the therapist checks whether the patient has understood the concept and can apply it correctly. This was developed in Oxford and later implemented in Hamburg.
The revised and translated concept takes into account the latest findings in anxiety research.
